Origin of PVS

The idea of creating an IGU
▪ The idea of creating an International Gas Union (IGU) on the premises of the then French gas association l´Union Syndicale de l´Industrie du Gas with the participation of Czechoslovakia representatives from PSF

IGU and conference
▪ May – the establishment of an IGU Temporary Committee with delegates from 23 countries. Doc. Dr. Ing. Tomáš Keclík was elected interim Vice President of the IGU
▪ June – The 1st International Gas Conference in London, on which the IGU was officially founded
